Amy Koenig is an outstanding coach with all the key ingredients in her background that make her teams the finest trained, educated and most determined teams in North Texas.
Growing up playing soccer, Amy shined as a club player with the Flame Soccer Club. In High School, Amy was named High School Player of the year and was elected to the All Conference 1st Team. She was voted All District MVP two years in a row and her HS team were the district Champions both years.
Amy was a collegiate student athlete at Richland College where she was coached by Texas A&M’s Coach "G" Guerrera from 1991-1992. She went back to Richland College as a player/coach in 2003, playing at age 30 ranking 6th in the nation for scoring and assists. Coach Koenig has coached club soccer since 1992, and was the assistant coach at Richland Community College from 2003-2006. In 2004, she coached the Richland Women’s team to their first National Championship. Amy presently is the Head Coach at Brookhaven Community College and coaches 4 competitive teams for Liverpool FC America.
Coach Amy Koenig has a distinguished playing background, excellent training, a focus on communicating with her players and a passion for the game that is rare to find. Her desire to give of herself to her teams is impressive and her understanding of the impact the game can have on young lives is admirable.
She is an excellent role model to her players and leader among the staff of Liverpool FC America.
