Profile Carl Camplen is a native of Plano, Texas. After graduating from Plano East, Carl successfully earned a starting spot on the Teikyo Marycrest University team where he earned honors as an Iowa All-American and team captain. Coaching for 15 years Carl has coached for Moline Soccer Club in Moline, Illinois as well as the Charles River United in Boston, Massachusetts.
In 1994, Coach Camplen was asked to become the Director of Coaching for the New Orleans Soccer Academy. For five years, Carl built a reputation as a leader and elite coach, developing many outstanding collegiate players including those from the 82 Boys State Championship team.
In 1998, Carl moved to Texas and began to build the Texas Spirit Soccer Club. As DOC, once again, Carl built the club into a first tier select club developing players and coaching them into the state, regional and national level ODP program.
Carl has coached many LHGCL Division I teams and has assisted many players in their dreams to play collegiate soccer. Today, Carl is building a new tradition here in Texas. Coach Camplen combines the best aspects of the four cornerstones of the club.... Professionalism, Dedication, Passion and Success.
