LFCA 03 Boys St John meet thier name sake, Ian St John (center)

Team Legend - Ian St John
Shankly paid a record fee for the "The Saint" and didn’t regret a single penny. He scored 20+ goals in his first 3 seasons but played deeper the rest of his career, orchestrating Liverpool’s attacks. Ian’s golden moment is without a doubt scoring the winner in the 1965 FA cup final.

03 Boys St John Meet Their Namesake, Ian St John

The boys had an amazing training session with a true Liverpool Legend, Ian St John.  For almost an hour St John put the 03 boys team named after him through their paces and provided some sage advice.  The boys were over the moon with excitment at meeting this icon of Liverpool history.  St John ended the meeting with an autograph session and reminded the boys that hard work was key to success.  It was an amazing session the boys will not soon forget.

Thanks for the visit St John and thanks to Warrior for your support.

The St John boys have stated the spring season with a bang.  Playing in both SDL and Primetime, they are getting two full seasons of experience before thier final big push into the Select ranking tournaments.  In the fall the boys started slow but ended the season breaking even.  This spring it is the other way around.  Almost a third of the way through the St John boys are sitting at 4-2.  The two losses were both decied by a single goal and against very talented and wll coached teams.

Thomas Rainey (forward) took a hard shot right off the nose and directed into the back of the net.

Blood, Sweat and GOALS!!!!!!

9-8-2012 - This weekends marks the start of an intense fall season of soccer for LFCA 03 Boys St John.  Playing in two different leagues come with high expectations of fun, great compettion and a lot of experience on the big 11v11 field.

The boys battled through a several injuries; one of which resulted in a goal.  Thomas Rainey, a new forward, in the thick of battle in front of the FC Dallas goal took a big clearing kick off the nose and directed the ball into the back of the net.  Thomas' first goal came at a stinging price, but scoring always lightens the pain.

FC Dallas brought a skilled young forward to the game and an unfortunate foul at the far outside corner of St John's box lead to the season's first PK. St John goal keeper Stone Thomas stared down the striker, and with a spectacular leap stuffed the PK to keep a clean sheet.  The defense was on thier toes as well and quickly transistioned the play back up the pitch for the St John forwards to score at the other end.

It was an excellent opening to the SDL season for LFCA 03 Boys St John
