Coach's Philosophy

My coaching philosophy is most importantly that the players have a fun and positive experience. As a coach, it is my job to provide the parameters where players have fun learning technical skills and discovering methods to find success on the field.

I focus in individual technique and creativity, as well as player development over team play. Each player must be able to keep possession of the ball and beat players 1 v 1 before the rest of the game can be taught.
I believe in letting the kids play. I try not to over coach during games and training matches. I believe the players must learn to find their own solutions to problems on the field. If they are constantly given the answers to problems, they will not learn to think creatively. Each player is different and players discover different ways to solve problems on the field. We must let them discover the game.

Team Legend - John Toshack

During his time with Liverpool Toshack scored 96 goals; he was part of the team that won the Football League Championship in 1973, 1976 and 1977, the FA Cup in 1974, and the UEFA Cup in 1973 and 1976.
Toshack is still held in high regard by the supporters of Liverpool and was voted in at No.34 on the Liverpool Football Club web-site poll 100 Players Who Shook The Kop, in which thousands of fans worldwide voted for their top 100 Liverpool players

Spring 2012 Primetime Season kicks off!

The Toshack team faced some tough competition this Sunday at their first game of the Spring season.  The temperature was cold, but the boys played through the weather and gave the fans an exciting game to watch.  The game was tied 2-2 at halftime with the Texans going ahead 2-5 in the 2nd half.  The Reds played a great game and developed some good plays resulting in strong crosses across the goal.  It is great to see the boys creating opportunities. The Reds had a great first start of the season and played very well as a team.   We look forward to watching the boys continue to develop throughout the season!

Go Reds!

Blue Sky Winter Indoor

The Toshack teams had an excellent winter indoor season coming in 2nd and 3rd place at Blue Sky in Keller.  It was a great warm up to the Spring season!
