Philosophy:
My passion is Soccer; I breathe, I eat and I dream soccer. I have found that even though playing is an incredible experience, developing young players is just an incredible journey.
I am not looking to mirror whatever is out there. I am truly committed to excellence and thus, I developed a unique concept with a different point of view… a point of view targeted to build confidence at the player level
In contrast with other philosophies out there I am not here just to win… I don’t like to wear my players down… I will make sure they give me 110% but without pushing them to the limit… In short:
I will let them grow as players
I will mix the right ingredients for them to have fun and at the same time learn how to play the sport
But most importantly I will find that sweet spot in which their confidence level will increase to their highest potential
Confidence is the most important thing a player needs to be successful... trust me, some are fast, some are skillful, some has great footwork; but without confidence they won’t show it
So in one word: CONFIDENCE is key
But please do not get me wrong… I am not saying that winning is not important; it is actually extremely important, but it is just part of the equation… for others it is the only ingredient for success (their success).
We have to remember that Soccer is a player-centered sport. In other words, players at any given game have to adjust to the situation and make good or bad decisions under pressure within seconds… there are no timeouts or breaks in which a coach can change strategies and/or make adjustments. The players build the game as they play and thus, each decision counts… Therefore, I strongly believe that a confident player can make the best possible decision based on his/her confidence level.
At the end of the day playing sports is only another part of life, but it has to teach you or give you something that you can take with you anywhere
Can you imagine what confidence can do for your child when he/she grows up?
