Dru Wright

Coach Dru Wright began playing soccer at the age of 3 1/2 and has played every year since. His parents started Central Jackson Soccer Organization (CJSO), an all black soccer club at the time in order for him to have the opportunity to play in Jackson, MS. He then moved on to play for Rankin United Futbol Club and later Jackson Futbol Club at the latter part of his club career. He went to St. Joseph Catholic School where he earned All-State and All- District awards in soccer and football.   

Coach Dru went to Wake Forest University on a soccer scholarship where he also played football his junior and senior year as a wide receiver and kicker. After graduation he went to Rio de Janeiro, Brazil where he played professional for a year. He returned to the States and went to play professionally in New Orleans, LA for the Baton Rouge Cult Capitals. He played and coached in the offseason for Chicago Fire Juniors of Louisiana. He recently moved from New Orleans, LA to join Liverpool FC America to further his coaching career in the North Texas market.
