Liverpool FC America Today

LFC America Today

Celebrating our fifth anniversary on July 1st, 2011, Liverpool FC America has grown to become the 4th largest youth soccer club in North Texas with more than 7 training facilities spread out over more than 80 square miles and four counties.  With more than 43 competitive teams ages U-11 through U-19 and more than 50 academy teams ages U-6 through U-10, Liverpool will break through 100 teams in the 2011-2012 season.

The amazing growth is attributed to three main qualities that are unique to Liverpool in this market. The first is the culture within Liverpool; a culture of respect, family, community, quality soccer. This dedication to character is underlined by the understanding that to create successful teams, you also have to create successful athletes, coaches, families and the support that comes from the club to each of those entities is important. The second quality is our understanding that there needs to be more than just an “island” mentality for the teams. No one team is more important here at Liverpool, and our coaching staff works together to support one another and to create that positive learning and “family” atmosphere where everyone can thrive. The third and final quality unique to Liverpool is our name.   We are named after one of the most famous English Premier League teams in soccer history.

The culture of Liverpool is based on our three core principles or pillars; Character, Quality and Tradition. The ‘tradition’ mentioned is guided and inspired by our relationship with Liverpool FC, England. The rich heritage and traditions that have inspired more than 100 years of legendary tales of some of the greatest moments in international soccer also inspire our club here in Texas. Our traditions of the flag, the applauding of the parents, the naming of our teams are all small parts of our respect, dedication and admiration for the history of Liverpool FC, England.   Recently, Liverpool FC England sent their “International Football Academy” coaches to Texas to hold a soccer school or camp here for the athletes in Texas.   Shortly thereafter, the director of the International Football Academy also visited Liverpool FC America to find out more about our club.  Inspired by the visit to the club, and with confidence in the leadership, Liverpool FC America was invited to become an official part of the International Football Academy.

This relationship is a large part of who we are, and who we are becoming.

Liverpool FC America is equally very proud of the people who have come together to make up the Liverpool family.   From the athletes to the parents, to the coaches, to the leadership we are all “Liverpool” and no one is more important than the next. We regard our responsibility to our athletes as our highest priority. These responsibilities to our players have resulted in many of our new and cornerstone programs that have helped define our success:

Player Curriculum-  Created specifically for LFCA for player development and player retention, this program will be a flagship program for Liverpool. Developed by our professional leadership team and senior directors, it will help standardize the expectations and requirements as well as the team evaluation at each level of development.

College Athlete Placement Program- including college clinics, workshops, advisory councils and a goal of placing 100% of our players who want to attend college and/or play soccer in college into the best college for them

Player Events- Tryouts, Hawaiian Falls, this year, the Traditions Banquet and more

RASE program (Reds Academy School of Excellence) are all part of our drive and determination to fulfill the dreams and hopes of our athletes whatever they may be.

Power Offense, Power Defense- Players from all teams and all age groups are invited out to take part in this group training session where “stations” are posted around the field and they have the opportunity to train with several different coaches in the club

Skills Programs- Academy Open Skills Program- Competitive Open Skills Program

Coaching Education- This year, and focus and a concentrated effort to help our coaches stay current, grow and develop and energize their coaching styles is being made by bringing in some of the leading resources within our community and beyond. The investment in our coaching staff is one of the key reasons Liverpool has experienced the more than 40% increase in the number of classic level teams this year.

Directors’ Sessions – Conducted by our Senior Leadership Staff- In an effort for our coaches to learn and grow from the highest levels of our coaching staff, and for our leadership to get to know the teams, our directors make a concentrated effort to train the teams and evaluate their development in an ongoing process.

Becoming the biggest isn’t important if you don’t become the best at the same time. Our goal is to challenge ourselves to develop a world class competitive club with great support throughout the club for our athletes and families. In the process we will carry the highest standards of ethical behavior, a constant dedication to always being a “club of character” and as stewards of the Liverpool name will carry ourselves with respect , integrity and pride.

At Liverpool our motto is simple:
Every player…
Every coach…
Every parent…
Every concern…
Every practice…
Every game…
Every goal…
Every dream…
           … Matters
