Liverpool Whelan focuses on foot skills and the fundamentals of the game.  It is a place where everyone can learn and harness each skill before moving on to the next without the intense pressure or rigors of a top division.  Foot skills, striking a ball, and learning basic tactics while developing a greater love for the game are this team's priority. 
Whelan players work hard to rapidly develop and excel in footskills through Coerver Coaching techniques and by using an online training/skills program. 

Above all, they are encouraged to be creative without fear of failure which allows players to be innovative, learn as they play, and enjoy the game. 

Our first season in competitive play was Spring '12 in SDL and we plan to progress and raise our level of play over the next year or two in preparation for select qualifying. 

Team Legend - Ronnie Whelan     
When Whelan started his career, he was said set to become one of the game’s greats. He became a firm fixture on the left wing, and his intelligent play profited those around him and he was capable of the extraordinary when the team needed it the most. Whelan moved into a central midfield role and prospered with greater responsibility when he was made captain.
