Team Legend - Ray Kennedy
Ray was a revelation on the left, winning England recognition at last. The move was so successful that it immediately saw off Peter Cormack, who had played in that position for the previous two seasons. By the end of the year, Ray had made the No.5 shirt his own and added Championship and UEFA Cup winners’ medals to his already prodigious haul of honours. Ray scored in both his first cap for England, as well as his Liverpool debut. A top 5 all-time scorer from MF, Ray was a formidable force for Liverpool... Jimmy Greaves naming Ray "The Player of the Seventies".
The 05 Kennedy boys made a fne showing at the annual Raging Creek 4v4 Tournament. Despite being together for less than a month, the boys finished 1-1-1 missing the playoffs by (1) goal. The highligt was dramatic match in which the team overcame a four goal deficit in the second half to tie a very good FWFC team.
The 05B Kennedy team completed a successful 4-2-2 Indoor season at Blue Sky with a 5-0 shut out of the Dallas Blues FC. The highlight of the season was an exciting 5-2 victory over the top seeded Dallas Texans in the next to last game. The Kennedy Boys now move to the Spring SDL league. Way to go Kennedy!
Coach Rusty Oglesby led the 05 Kennedy Boys in an undefeated season on their way to Champions of the fall 2011 Blue Sky U7 4v4 Indoor League. Congratulations!
