LFCA College Advisory Board was established in 2011 to promote the collegiate game and support LFCA athletes with the necessary information to provide opportunities for our club’s players and club affiliate players’ in the college game. The LFCA Board will advise the club in the following areas below:
- Provide updates on NCAA & NAIA legislation in regards to timelines of contact, method of contact, the rules and regulations the college programs adhere to.
- Continue and support LFCA annual College ID Camp in attendance and/or advise us on methods to continue to grow, develop, and improve our ID camps for the college coaches and high-school prospects in the NTX area.
- Advising LFCA senior staff in improving club showcases and friendlies with other clubs or organizations to help improve the identification process of our club’s players and club affiliate players’ due to the fragmented leagues, tournaments, and varying organizations in youth soccer across the United States. (USYSA, state associations local leagues, Premier League, National Premier League, US Club Soccer, ECNL, etc.)
- Provide feedback on LFCA girls’ curriculum, programs, and coaching education provided to our staff coaches and club affiliate staff members. Advise LFCA on amendments, improvements, and training methods to develop college ready student-athletes from our club and club affiliates.
In turn LFCA and club affiliates will continue to promote the collegiate game at all the various levels (NCAA D1, D2, D3 & NAIA). LFCA senior staff, coaching staff, and club affiliates will work to continue to develop the competitive environment to develop college ready soccer players and update the LFCA College Advisory Board on potential high school prospects in the club, local areas, and club affiliates prospects as well.
