The 07 Girls Liverpool Gerrard players are taught to pass to their closest open teammate, to switch the point of attack, to maintain composure with the ball under pressure, and to beat players in various ways in any given situation.  The team formed in May of 2012 and has stayed together ever since, resulting in high skill level and positional awareness.  Each player is tested and evaluated each season on various skills, speed tests, and other assessments. 

Gerrard players are also expected to respect their teammates, their opponents, the parents, and the referees with post-game team claps to the sidelines and fist bumps to the referees, no matter the outcome.

Another local Liverpool boy and current team captain, has seen the club through many of their recent successes. Having been a part of the club since the age of 9, his success is also that of the Liverpool academy system that has produced so many home-grown talents. He is also the clubs leading scorer in European competitions
